Immersive audiobooks
String and Tins recorded Audible's Harry Potter audiobook series with Reynolds ambisonic microphones, capturing spatial sound for an immersive listening experience.
"I love my Reynolds A-Type 8, it's extremely well made, super compact, comparatively low noise compared to other comparable ambisonics mics, and as you might expect being 2OA the detail of capture and reproduction is mega."
Will Cohen, String and Tins
An ambisonic recording can be rendered to binaural for headphones, which is how most audiobooks are heard, or to stereo, surround and Dolby Atmos from the same take. The A-Type 8 gives second-order detail; the A-Type 4 is a lighter first-order option. Both come with the Atmoky/Reynolds A→B encoder plug-in.
