About Us

At Reynolds Microphones, we’re passionate about helping people capture incredible sound—with microphones that deliver superb audio quality, solid construction, and great value for money. Whether you’re recording at home or in a professional studio, our aim is to provide reliable, high-performance tools that won’t break the bank.

Reynolds Microphones was founded by Jack Reynolds, a musician, audio engineer, acoustician, and microphone designer with a lifelong love of sound. Jack brings decades of experience in the recording arts and electronic engineering to the company.

Alongside running Reynolds Microphones, Jack is a Development Producer at the BBC’s Research and Development Department, where he is involved in innovative audio projects including immersive and spatial audio, VR, and volumetric capture. He’s also a Senior Lecturer in spatial audio and sonic experience at UCL, sharing his expertise with the next generation of sound professionals.

Jack has worked on a wide range of projects over the years—from 360 spatial audio and VR productions for the BBC, SkyVR, Google, and Nokia, to ASMR and binaural audio for BBC Sounds, and new technologies for live music in the metaverse. His deep knowledge of sound and hands-on approach to microphone design are at the heart of everything he does.

Jack is committed to creating microphones that not only sound fantastic but are also built with care—using ethical and environmentally friendly processes wherever he can. He also prides himself on offering friendly, personal service. If you have any questions or need advice, don’t hesitate to get in touch—Jack is always happy to help.
